Objects  in this product category are many times borderline with art objects. They have an extreme degree of uniqueness in common with art “tout court” and usually show a lot of inventiveness. The difference lies in the fact that these are all utilitarian objects, self built, but not following a consolidated typology, but rather by up-cycling an object that the maker had at hand, be it an old tire turned into shoes, a military helmet made into a shovel or a terracotta jar that was skillfully repaired with a rudimental metal net.
