Classic Cake Stands
Glass craft objects in the shape of a dish or shallow bowl with a stem that is slightly variable in length were widespread in Romania, Ukraine, Hungary and Bohemia up until not too many years ago. They were used not only for cake, pastries and other sweets, but also as fruit bowls. The model we call Classic was by far the most recurrent. It features a faceted stem with a perfectly flat plate and a relatively high rim which make it suitable both as a cake stand and as a fruit bowl. Many more models, both colored and clear and far less common than the Classic can be found in the differing section.
